The Bank Job

Jason Statham seems to be stereotyped in all his movies. Not that I’m complaining, I love the genre of English Hooligan movies, if that’s what these are called. I don’t know. I just watched “The Bank Job” which was good. Now my standards aren’t very high, and as long as you don’t piss me off, I’ll enjoy the movie. But this isn’t to say that this was your regular fluff that I tolerated. I liked the movie, I liked that people died. I liked that Saffron Burrows is so hot and leggy.

I haven’t been watching movies for the past few months, and that’s gotta change. I also have to get back to the old habit of reading, and actually using the computer as a tool to improve my life, not a master over my time.

That reminds me of Blue Öyster Cult’s Black Blade, listen to it if you can’t get the reference.

Juno

How normal is it for 16 year olds to be pregnant?  Freaky.  But also quite funny.  I liked this movie.  But that’s no surprise, all that sass and cheekiness.  The cool guy turns out to be a jerk.  But is he?  I like the fact that the movie isn’t judgmental.   The guitarist chap had things he still wanted to do, that’s that.  No scenes.  The girls were hurt, but the movie didn’t turn into a sob fest.  Kinda balanced for what it was portraying, and also very funny for it too.

The actors are just about cute enough for their roles too.  Good looking, yes.  But Juno looked kid enough, and the parents looked old, and the adoptive family looked old enough to be wanting to adopt.  Jennifer Garner is pretty in a skinny kind of way.

I’m glad I stayed up this late to watch this movie.  Well, I stayed up late to chat with V, but I ended up watching this, and it was good for the time.
